Well Gaaawwleeee (plus some pics)

I love that phrase. Especially coming from the big burley man working at the marina where we are docked. Something about being in the south just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Did I mention the food?
1. Grits - We don't have these in Indiana and I love them
2. Catfish - Never thought I would say that. The catfish in Indiana is the most disgusting food I've ever seen, but for some reason in Tennessee they have perfected this strange animal to taste amazing. Kind of like frito chips actually...
3. Pie - all of it. Chess pie, Fudge pie, Derby Pie, Blackberry Pie, Peach Pie, Apple Pie. allofit.
4. Sweet tea - 'nough said.

Yesterday DH and I had a great time playing a round of mini golf at the state park and fishing the day away. Unfortunately after we got as far west as possible on the lake our boat wouldn't start. It was also 90 degrees outside and we were no where near the shade on the shoreline. Thank God this adorable older couple happened to be swimming off their pontoon boat within shouting distance and they were kind enough to tow us all the way back to the marina. They were really just so adorable. They have been married 49 years and were as sweet as could be. They told us about their children and grandchildren and we realized her son works at the hospital in Indiana that I'll be delivering at. It's such a small world!

Now that the boat won't start we may be ending our trip a couple days earlier than expected. Phil is fishing around the marina today, but there isn't anything else to do around here without driving at least an hour and a half away. The pool and a good book are enough to keep me happy, but I can understand him not wanting to miss work to sit around a dock.

Phils fish.............

My tiny little fish... (don't judge, I look disgusting here!)

First Day of Vacation!

Lillian's first time on a boat and I think she got seasick... I know I was!

*Note to self: Do not eat big dinner before going fishing*

Tennessee is soooo pretty right now. The weather is great and the people are nice. However, you would think some have never seen a pregnant girl before. Maybe it's because I'm 25, married and pregnant (sorry if you're from Tennessee) that they think is odd, but if one more person gives me the side eye I swear I'm going to start throwing things. Last night at dinner this guy was sitting with his wife and two kids and I don't know what his problem was but I was THISCLOSE to throwing my glass of ice water at his head. It's bad enough that I'm stuffing my face and I feel as big as a horse. How about the entire grocery store in Kentucky when we stopped for lunch? I mean seriously people, what the hell is so entertaining about a pregnant girl waddling around minding her own business on vacation? I feel like a zoo exhibit.

This vent is really just a small portion of an otherwise awesome vacation with my hubby. Did I mention there's a pool? :) And home made pie?

23 weeks pics

A little late, but here they are:

The only update is that now I'm 24 weeks, my V-day was yesterday!! WOohoo!

Also, the baby is supposed to gain 1/2 a pound this week which seems like a lot! No wonder my sides are killing me right now... I love her though, so she can just keep growing away :)

He Finally Felt Her :)

At 22 weeks and a half weeks. Phil said it felt like she threw a punch right in the middle of his hand! I've been feeling her from the outside for a little over 2 weeks now, but he was never able to feel it.

She's been doing funny things lately. She's pretty active most days, but yesterday she must have been really making herself at home. She was pushing her butt (I think) all the way over to one side against my stomach. When I was laying down it was like a baseball sized lump trying to push out of my lower left side! It's times like that I wish there was a window to see what she's doing. In my mind I imagine her doing the "downward dog" yoga position. That's what it felt like!

If you haven't noticed, I'm pretty smitten with her :)
